Why Snake still works
Snake is a perfect arcade loop: the better you do, the harder it gets, because every orb makes you longer and the free space smaller. A good run is a quiet puzzle of keeping escape routes open while you chase the next bite.
What Neon Snake adds to the classic
Every 8 orbs you reach a new level: the snake speeds up, the colors change and a few neon blocks appear. New blocks blink for a moment before turning solid, and they never spawn right next to your head or in the lane straight ahead of it, so there is always time to react.
Combos reward direct routes. Each orb starts a short timer based on its distance, and reaching it in time grows your combo, for up to 3 bonus points per orb. Golden orbs are worth 5 points and add three segments at once, but they vanish when their ring runs out.
Controls on phone and computer
On a phone, swipe anywhere to turn; you can swipe ahead of time and the game remembers up to two turns. With a mouse, drag to turn or click beside the snake's head. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or WASD.
